A major milestone for Andhra Pradesh was achieved today as the Bhogapuram International Airport was officially inaugurated. The new airport is expected to strengthen air connectivity across North Andhra and support the region's economic growth.

Built with a large investment, the airport has been designed to handle millions of passengers annually. It is expected to boost tourism, create employment opportunities, and improve trade and business in the region.

According to the announced plan, commercial flight operations are expected to begin from 17 August 2026, providing better travel options for people from Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Srikakulam, and nearby districts.

The airport is also expected to reduce travel time for many passengers and attract new investments to the region.
